Recently, Google announced a new mobile ranking algorithm, which is being called the “speed update.”  According to the search engine, the speed update is will “only affect pages that deliver the slowest experience to users and only affect a small percentage of queries.”

It’s important to state that speed is already a big part of the mobile ranking algorithm for some time now.  It’s an important signal directly related to site.

In an article on Search Engine Land, there are examples of different cases that show just how huge of an impact page speed have.  Traffic from Google does appear to spike and plummet for websites with varying desktop and mobile issues.  The point of the cases are to persuade you if you are reluctant on decreasing load times.
