About a week ago, there have been some changes that have been made to the Facebook Power Editor Interface that will do well in the hands of marketers. For those who haven’t been in the know, the changes include a better preview pane for New Feeds ads, as well as a new bulk import option for specific ad targeting types.
With these changes, advertisers should be able to create dark posts for ad use only using the Power Editor. The new ad types that feature previews within Power Editor include:
- Clicks To Website
- Website Conversions
- Page Post Engagement
- Mobile App Installs
- Mobile App Engagement
- Desktop App Installs
- Desktop App Engagement
- Offer Claims
- Event Responses (Event needs to have been previously created)
- Video Views
The new change made in Power Editor will give advertisers the ability to preview ads during the creation process, edit them, and bulk import News Feed ads. The ads originally tied to specific page posts, and they were not editable. Now that isn’t the case. You can export, import, and edit ads. That’s a welcome feature for sure. A Facebook rep had this to say:
“With this change, advertisers can now create News Feed ads at scale, preview them during creation, edit them at any time, and bulk import/export them.”
Of course, if a page is created first and then promoted, you will not be able to to edit.
