Today is a day of green things everywhere, and Google decided to join in on the fun by putting up a green animated logo that goes from the normal Google logo to a green variation in the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day.
The logo has been designed by Chris O’Hara, who is an Irish artist and animator who works in Los Angeles. The logo that she designed for St. Patrick’s Day includes a leaping shamrock that jumps from letter to letter, which turns them green as it touches them.
“We hope it reflects the boundless energy and welcoming spirit of Ireland, as Google sports green for the great Éire,” says Google on its Doodle Blog.
If you click on the logo, it’ll take you to a Google search for St. Patrick’s Day. Included is a sharing icon to post the logo on social pages or in email.
