Things sure do change. Remember when we used to do everything on desktop computers? Then along came laptops. These portable computers.seemed to change the way we did things. We could actually get up and go somewhere with our laptops and know we still had access to everything on these computers.
But now, over the course of the last several years, things began to change again. Smartphones were brought to the masses. We still had portable computers that we could take anywhere. But now, they could fit in our pocket. And they could allow us to make phone calls too. That was always a bonus.
2013 was a big year for mobile search. In this last year, mobile traffic in the States has almost doubled. This last cyber Monday went mobile. The second quarter of 2013, according to Gartner, saw smartphones surpass feature phone sales. With such an increase of mobile usage, it’s a fact that mobile content strategies are going to be an important factor in the coming year.
