This Is It, Tomorrow Is Mobilegeddon – Are You Ready For Google’s Mobile Friendly Update?

Armageddon wide desktop background This is it!  Everybody, are you ready for the planned mobile friendly update roll-out that begins tomorrow?  The update, which will be provided by Google, has been deemed “Mobilegeddon” by the SEO community, was announced back in February and will have a larger impact on your website’s ranking than either Panda or Penguin.  The reasoning behind Google releasing the news about their update as early as they did was so webmasters could get their rear in gear and make sure everything was in working order, mobile-wise.

Even though things will begin to roll out tomorrow, we should probably let you know what the mobile-friendly update will do when it goes active (hopefully you already do if you’re in the industry).  Basically, the update could potentially give your website a ranking boost to mobile-friendly pages in Google’s mobile search results.
