This week, in the midst of negotiations about acquiring the company, TikTok shared a user counts for the first time. This data includes TikTok-specific numbers, and not the Chinese version of the app, ‘Douyin.’ This information comes from its legal filings TikTok did against the US government’s proposed ban of the app.
According to this information, TikTok has:
- 100 million monthly active users in the US
- 50 million daily active users in the US
As of July 2020, the app has about 689 million global monthly active users, which is a pretty big step up from 58 million back in January of 2018.
