Google Authorship is one of those things that isn’t always easy to set up and use. You go through the trouble to set yourself up for Authorship, and for some reason, you’re author picture still isn’t showing up. That can be totally frustrating. But what’s going on? Well, it can turn out that the author image it self is the problem. The image itself can have an effect on whether your authorship snippet is displayed.
Janet Driscoll Miller spoke at SMX East back in October about some of the opportunities and challenges when implementing Google Authorship. Around the same time, a friend came up to her talking about the problem of not having her author image appearing in the SERPS, even though she’d set up her authorship markup correctly.
