It looks like Google has fully embraced the emoji – at least on Twitter. If somebody tweets an emoji to @Google, that person will receive a reply that includes a quick quip, a GIF and a link to local search results corresponding to the emoji.
In a report on Mashable, it’s said that Google’s Twitter handle will respond to over 200 different emojis, including some Easter eggs.

When I tweeted an emoji of cake to Google, this is what I got:
The link included in Google’s reply tweet pointed to a results page for a “cake nearby” search.
The #KnowNearby hashtag included in Google’s announcment tweet has several examples of emoji-tested tweets.
