Now, for some verified Twitter users, the notifications tab on the Web is displaying analytics highlights.
Up on the top of the tab of the Twitter desktop version, users will see up to three high-activity highlights, which includes:
- Popular Tweet
- Noteworthy Mention
- Top Follow
Every time the page is refreshed, there will be a new set of highlights from the last day that will be displayed. This will keep happening until the supply of recent highlights have exhausted.

The test was was first spotted first by BuzzFeed News and confirmed by a Twitter spokesperson. The following statement was made by the spokesperson:
“We’re experimenting with highlighting notable Tweets and activity in some verified users’ notifications timelines. These are Tweets and activity they might otherwise miss due to the large volume of notifications these users tend to receive on a daily basis.”
