Google’s former chief business officer, has been named Omid Kordestani, by Twitter, as the new executive chairman of its board of directors.
Kordestani, had been with Google since 1999, and according to his LinkedIn profile, was Google employee 11. For ten years, he was a senior vp for worldwide sales and business development, and was chief business officer for about a ear before leaving that position in August, so that he could become senior adviser to Google in their new parent company Alphabet.
Twitter announced his move with a series of tweets by Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey:

This announcement came a day after Twitter laid of 336 people. Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google, thank Korestani for the service on Twitter:

Humorously, Kordestani tweeted only eight times before today, but used Twitter to introduce himself:
