According to to Jane Manchun Wong, a reverse engineering expert, has potentially found that Twitter-owned streaming app, Periscope, might be on its way to retirement. There was a line of code that seems to indicate that a ‘shut down’ might be coming.
This doesn’t necessarily mean that this will happen for sure, but at this point, the only ones who know is Twitter itself.
Twitter could be working on new alternatives to Periscope, assuming the shutdown is actually going to happen. We might even see integrated streams with Fleets.
