Twitter Will Strike Down Conspiracy Content

Thrive Business Marketing company logo

According to Twitter, the company will “take strong enforcement action on behavior that has the potential to lead to offline harm.” Twitter will be taking action against QAnon’s activity across the social media platform.

What is QAnon?

QAnon is a conspiracy theory that focuses on the belief that an unknown person is revealing how PResident Trump is leading a war against the “deep state.”

The deep state, in this case, is a collection of people throughout politics, businesses and Hollywood elites that worship Satan and abuse and murder children.

Twitter will be permanently suspending accounts that tweet about the topics, as well as block URLS that associate with QA from being shared across the platform. 7,000 QAnon accounts were taken down already, and another 150,000 are being limited so they cannot flood the platform with abusive content.

Twitter will not recommend accounts and content that is related to QAnon, which includes material in email and follow recommendations. Further steps will be taken to limit circulation of content in features like trends and search.
