Twitter has been found striking another deal to bring traditional live TV programming to their social media platform. Bloomberg will syndicate three of its live TV shows, including Bloomberg West, What’d You Miss? and With All Due Respect, on Twitter every week day at the the same time that it’s being aired on television.
According to a person familiar with the matter, similar to the TV airing, the show will carry ads, and according to this deal, Twitter and Bloomberg will be splitting the revenue that is brought in through the airing of the shows. As of right now, a spokesperson for Twitter has declined to comment on the ad portion of the deal.
Jack Dorsey, the CEO of Twitter, has continuously associated Twitter with live on the company’s earnings calls since becoming its permanent CEO again last year and still to this day backs the claim with live video deals.
