Barry Schwartz of Search Marketing spoke with Lily Ray of Pat Interactive in New York City about Google core algorithm updates. Barry asked Lily how her team approaches the task of helping its customers who were impacted negatively by a core update improve their rankings. Google has said before that there aren’t any fixes for core algorithm updates.

The following video interview that the two discussed was about how sites need to build trust through their staff and authors. They also spoke about the challenges she faced when convincing her clients that their internal staff need to take a more active roll in the web site content. They even discussed issues with Google being more or less transparent around theses updates to its algorithms.
