Vimeo Launches New Tools Aimed At Making Video Platform More Appealing To Marketers

A new set of tools has been launched by Vimeo for its Business Membership subscribers on May 31st, which rolls out new interactive video cards,, end screens and updates email capture features.

The video cards includes a mobile-first design, offering “customizable, notification-style layer that Business members can set to appear at any point during playback.”

In the release, Vimeo General Manager Anali Sud said that the new card designs accounted for the fact that the majority of video views happen on mobile.  The video card enhancements for Vimeo allow marketers to include relevant information and links within the cards:

The new end screens give marketers eight different display options for the content that appears at the close of a video, such as customized thumbnail images, clickable background images, and call-to-action buttons.

With the last updates, Business members are now able to set email capture fields to appear before, during or after a video, as well as being able to withhold video-viewing privileges until after an email has been entered.  According to Vimeo its email capture tool integrates with email marketing services, including Constant Contact, MailChimp and Campaign Monitor.

Based on the information provided on the Vimeo website, the Business Membership includes 5TB of video storage and costs $599 a year.
