Webmaster Tools Reporting Should Return To Normal In Coming Days

Thrive Business Marketing company logo

Google-webmaster-tools-logoWebmaster Tools by Google has been acting up lately.  The search query reports are quite delayed, but Google has stated that we can “expect reporting to return to normal in the coming days.”

Apparently this is a “bug” for Google’s tool.  The reporting tool stopped showing data on September 23rd.  Coincidentally, this came after Google stopped passing almost all of referrer data to webmasters.  According to Google, this bug is unrelated.  Either way, they said that the problem would be fixed soon.

Based on the news piece that was discovered on Search Engine Land, the writer, Barry Schwartz, he was able to see data from September 25th going back.  This means that there has been a two day improvement since the problem first began.

Google should have this issue resolved soon, so SEOs and webmasters, don’t fret too much.
