One misconception that a number of “normal” folk, aka, people who don’t do SEO for a living, have about this line of work is that an SEO ‘s job is kind of one-shot. Some would look at SEO and believe that once you’ve “fixed up” a site by optimizing it for the search engines, and telling the website owners what to do afterwards, you’re done. What these individuals aren’t realizing is that there’s a lot more to be done than just doing it once and you’re good. There’s an ongoing process to the job, even when you’re focusing on the same client and website.
