On September 2, Google notified advertisers that the search terms report “only include terms that were searched by a significant number of users.” The reason for this change is so they maintain their standards of privacy, all the while strengthening their protection around users data.

This news didn’t make many people happy, as you can see in the following tweet:

Don’t get me wrong, privacy is important. Keeping information private is something any company should be focusing on, especially if they want to keep their customers and users happy. But this simple communication makes people question the company’s motives.
