According to a post on the Google Search Console data anomalies page between August 14th and 15th, Google experienced an issue with “data logging.” In the post, Google wrote, “users may see a very slight decrease in numbers due to an internal logging issue.”
Currently, it seems that there is a delay in the data within the Google Search Console reports, which includes the Search Analytics report. What isn’t clear is if this data delay is because of this “internal logging issue.” Nothing has been confirmed by Google.
If you’re looking through your data and see some wonky numbers on August 14th and 15th in the Search Analytics report, don’t worry about it.
The following screen shot is where, in the Search Analytics report, you’ll see this new “note” which hyperlinks to the data anomalies page.
