youtubeHave you been looking through your social networks like Facebook and Twitter lately?  I’m sure that, if you have, you’ve seen a lot of picture related posts, memes, and of course animated animated GIFs.  In actuality, animated GIFs are in the  majority.  Because of this, there are a load of gif creation tools out there that are being utilized by online marketers.

If you are not only a marketer, but a YouTuber as well, or simply somebody who loves making animated GIFs out of your YouTube videos, you’ll find that the new beta built right into YouTube is very simple to use.

TechCrunch spotted a beta iteration of the tool live on all PBS Idea Channel videos, and they allow users to quickly turn a video segment into a GIF right within YouTube itself.

If you’re interested in using the feature, all you need to do is to click on the ‘Share’ button and a ‘GIF’ tab will appear.  After that, you can use the selector to locate times of the GIF that you want to see in your new GIF.  There is another part of the feature that allows you to automatically add text in a meme-like format.
