YouTube’s latest update brings a host of new features aimed at enhancing the creator experience. Longer Shorts are now supported, allowing creators to share more extended content in this format. Additionally, the platform has introduced a revamped video sharing process from other apps, streamlining the creation and publishing of Shorts.

For those who enjoy interactive content, YouTube has expanded the capabilities of Quiz posts by allowing the inclusion of images in multiple-choice answers. To further assist creators, the platform has launched two new AI-powered tools: “Transform” and “DreamScreen.” These tools can help with text rephrasing and image generation, respectively.

In terms of monetization, YouTube has expanded access to its self-service platform, Brand Connect, to more eligible creators. This platform enables creators to manage brand deals and access valuable audience insights. Furthermore, YouTube is piloting a new program called “Open Call,” which allows advertisers to request custom ads from creators.

To promote transparency and authenticity, YouTube is introducing a new content disclosure system. Videos captured with C2PA-compliant cameras will now display a label indicating that the content was “Captured with a camera.” This feature aims to combat misinformation and provide viewers with greater confidence in the authenticity of the content they consume.
