Cyrus shepardThere are a lot of factors that goes into determining a site’s rankings on Google.  I think we’ve all figured this out by now.  But one interesting question remains.  What does Google know about us as administrators in conjunction with website control?  How is Google able to know which sites you are in control of?  This can ultimately be an important question to know.

What if you are the owner and admin of a popular website and you’ve decided to create a sub-domain that will be directly connected with that main domain?  It’s important to know so that Google can take the appropriate actions to help determine if that new site should share equity with the main site or not.

This is the situation in today’s Whiteboard Friday, hosted by Cyrus Shepard.  You can watch the video below to see how it matters why Google knows which sites that you have control of.  Enjoy!
