3 Updates For The GA4 Search Bar

On January 30, 2023, Google has made three updates to the search bar that can be found at the top of the Google Analytics, which lets advertisers find information about current property or account.

The three updates includes:

Find data stream details

Here are three search terms that let you open the details for a web or app data stream in a property that you are using:

  1. the keyword “Tracking”
  2. a web stream measurement ID (i.e., “G-XXXXXXX”)
  3. an app stream ID (i.e., “XXXXXXX”)

Find the current property and account settings

Here are the search times that lets you open the settings for the property you’re using:

  1. the keyword “Property”
  2. the current property ID or property name
  3. The following search terms allow you to open the settings for the account you are using:
  4. the keyword “Account”
  5. the current account ID or account name

Go to other properties on GA4

Here are the search terms that allows you go navigate to a different property on GA4 from the one you’re using. Up to 7 properties are shown by Analytics that match the search query.

  1. the property ID or property name of the other property
  2. a web stream measurement ID (i.e., “G-XXXXXXX”) in the other property
  3. an app stream ID (i.e., “XXXXXXX”) in the other property
