A new tool was just launched by YouTube called “YouTube Director,” which is a video ad-creation tool that is aimed at SMBs that allows them to film professional video ads from their phone.
The YouTube Director, according to the announcement, includes a suite of products “that makes video ads more accessible to businesses.”
According to YouTube, no editing is required and included the following “YouTube Director Video Challenge” footage to show exactly how any SMB can create a video ad in as little as 20 minutes with the latest ad tool:
YouTube says that app developers can also use YouTube Director to build a video ad for their app with existing logos and app screenshots from the App Store or Google Play Store.
To help launch the new app, YouTube is offering a “YouTube Director onsite” service to advertisers who spend over $150 in YouTube ads. Right now, the only places this is available in is:
- Boston
- Chicago
- Los Angeles
- San Francisco
- Washington DC
The service will give SMBs access to professional filmmakers who will shoot and edit a video ad free of charge.
