We all love surveys, don’t we? The beauty behind surveys is that, if done correctly, the results can give you incredibly valuable information. Recently, BrightLocal did their own survey that focused on the sources of traffic and leads to local businesses.
In their survey, the almost 290 SEOS and SMBs that where involved claimed that they optimized over 7,000 locations over the last year. Myles Anderson has written up a post on Search Engine Land where this group at BrightLocal had asked five questions about the effort and ROI they witnessed from the marketing channels that they used. The results were interesting.
Even though the evidence is merely anecdotal, due to imperfection in tracking data for lead and phone tracking, the results are still useful for others who would choose to use the information provided for their own purposes.
