We all know how fast certain forms of social media can grow like weeds. Myspace, Facebook, and Twitter are some good examples. Snapchat is the latest social media platform that has taken off with the public. The platform first launched in September of 2011, and has shown a huge growth since. The Ghost 👻now boasts over 100 million daily active users and 7 billion video views every day.
It seems that as the popularity of the app grew, so did brand’s attention with it. A number of major brands turned to Snapchat as a way to connect with their audiences. One of the brands who got involved was Gatorade. The sports drink brand ran a sponsored Lense during the Super Bowl, where they generated over 100 million views.
