On September 1, Google announced there there are new capabilities for Shopping Promotions and Local campaigns, right in time for the holiday advertising season.
With the Merchant Promotions updates, there will be “near instant promotion approvals on eligible offers” in the US. Any US advertisers can edit any live Promotions and not worry about causing any re-approval.
There will be more sales filters that are based on Merchant Promotions as well.
Regarding the Local campaigns updates, it can now optimize for store visits indicators.
Basically, this can act as a proxy for story visits when there isn’t enough actual store visits for a location.
Any retailers who have multiple locations can set up location extensions in Local campaigns from a Google Maps list.
