Google Adds A New Carousel To Let You Expand The Search Results

Thrive Business Marketing company logo

Google has now allowed searchers filter down their search results and/or expand their search results using a carousel-style slider at the top of either desktop or mobile search results.  With many searches, including [fusion_builder_container hundred_percent=”yes” overflow=”visible”][fusion_builder_row][fusion_builder_column type=”1_1″ background_position=”left top” background_color=”” border_size=”” border_color=”” border_style=”solid” spacing=”yes” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” padding=”” margin_top=”0px” margin_bottom=”0px” class=”” id=”” animation_type=”” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_direction=”left” hide_on_mobile=”no” center_content=”no” min_height=”none”][baby clothes], [kids clothing], Google will show you this slider.

Check out the screenshots of both mobile and desktop:

When clicking on an item, it doesn’t seem to filter within your existing search.  Rather, it’ll take  you to a whole new search.  By searching for kids clothes, and a shoe filter shows you results for shoes, not kids’ shoes.
